SquaredUp v3.4 introduces three major new features:
- New Donut tiles
- Dashboard export to Excel
- New dedicated tiles for Azure Log Analytics and Azure Application Insights
Donut charts are the 21st century pie charts. They're an attractive and compact way to visualise numbers as a proportion of a whole. In SquaredUp v3.4 we have added two new tiles for donut visualisations: the Status Donut tile and the Alert Donut tile.
The Status Donut tile enables you to view a summary of the status of objects. For example, you can easily view the overall health state of a group of servers. See How to use the Status tile.
The Alert Donut tile enables you to view a summary of alerts. For example, given a group of servers you can see how many open, acknowledged, and closed alerts they have. See How to use the Alerts tile.
With SquaredUp v3.4 you can now export an entire dashboard (or drilldown perspective) to Excel.
The exported Excel spreadsheet contains a worksheet for each tile on the dashboard, giving you a simple way to convert a dashboard into a report that can be distributed and analysed offline.
To make it easier to combine SCOM with Microsoft's new monitoring capabilities in Azure, we have introduced two new dedicated tiles for Azure Log Analytics (formerly OMS Log Analytics) and Azure Application Insights.
The tiles support the new 'Kusto' query language that both of these services are based on, and make it easier to configure your Azure authentication.
